What is life?

Ball.. Haha just kidding.. On a real note, this is a tremendously considered question by a lot of different people. My biggest wonder is if questioning this is efficient or not. I mean the chances of knowing the answer are pretty much impossible so why do we even try to ponder it? The more you search for the answer, the more questions you get asking and almost no answers appear.
